FAQ

1. How can I view my vehicles in real time?

Open the Map view. Assets move live on the screen without the need to refresh. You can enable follow mode to automatically track a selected asset.

2. What is follow mode?

Follow mode automatically keeps the asset centered on the map as it moves. It’s especially useful for guiding a driver live. The mode remains active until manually deactivated or switched to another asset.

3. What are the possible statuses of an asset?

IoTrack defines three main statuses:

  • Driving / Operating

  • Parking / Stopped

  • Engine Running but Stopped
These are displayed in the asset list along with the last known address and direction.

4. How can I filter my assets effectively?

Use the filter tool to target specific assets by type, status (e.g., trucks in motion), group, etc. Filters are cumulative, can be saved, and shared with your team.

5. What is the asset detail view for?

The asset detail gives a quick overview of the most recent data, such as status, last known position, and recent events. It includes custom widgets and a 7-day event history, depending on asset type.

6. What is advanced asset detail?

The advanced detail view provides full access to the asset’s position history, filtering by date, and viewing routes on the map. It also allows you to edit provisioning.

7. How does the timeline work?

The timeline shows asset activity over a 24- or 48-hour period. You can visualize routes and see identification logs on the vehicle.

8. How do I create a zone based on a trip?

When viewing a trip, you can generate a “tunnel” zone (default width: 75 meters). This can be edited and used to trigger specific events such as stop detections.

9. What types of reports can I generate?

IoTrack offers several report types (eco-driving, summaries, historical, etc.). Reports can be filtered, scheduled, downloaded, and emailed to multiple recipients.

10. What should I do with critical events?

Critical events (e.g., speeding, signal loss, unauthorized zone entry) must be acknowledged manually. A red dot appears in the asset list to indicate unacknowledged critical events.

11. How to be notified of an event?

You can be notified of events either directly on the platform when you are logged in, on your smartphone if you have installed the app, and/or by email.
When configuring an event, you can define these notifications and assign the appropriate recipients.

12. Paused Notifications

On vacation? Pause event notifications until a specific date or indefinitely.

13. The Dashboard is customizable

Choose which indicators to display or hide, keep a default dashboard, and create multiple personalized dashboards based on your needs (by team, site, mission, etc.).

14. View an address

Most addresses allow you to open Google Street View.
